Meet the Gilbert Davies Team

Nerys is a Director of Gilbert Davies Solicitors and Head of the Wills and Probate Department.

Nerys qualified as a Solicitor in 1987 and has been a Partner with the firm for over 30 years.

Nerys also deals with the acquisition and disposal of farms as well as all aspects of residential property transactions.

Louise is a Director and the Managing Partner of Gilbert Davies Solicitors.

Louise joined Gilbert Davies Solicitors in 2013 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2014. Louise was made a Director in 2019 and became Managing Partner in 2024.

Louise has a wealth of experience in the areas of Family Law and Dispute Resolution. She is an accredited member of The Law Society’s Family Law panel and a member of Resolution.

Arwel is a Director of Gilbert Davies Solicitors and Head of the Conveyancing Department.

Arwel started work at Gilbert Davies Solicitors as a Trainee Solicitors in 2013 and qualified in 2015. Arwel became a Partner of the firm in 2021.

David is a Consultant and former Managing Partner of Gilbert Davies Solicitors. David retired as a Director in 2024, having been a Partner at the firm for 28 years.

David has over 30 years’ experience in dealing with all aspects of Residential and Commercial Property matters and advising families in relation to Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Planning.

Shonah is a Solicitor in the Wills and Probate Department.

Shonah qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and worked in-house as a Solicitor for a large financial institution before joining the firm in 2017. Shonah has a wealth of experience with Will drafting, Lasting Power of Attorneys, Trust, Estate Administration and Probate.

Shonah is an Affiliate member of STEP (Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners, the professional body for the trust and estate profession) and is currently undertaking the STEP Diploma to become a full member.

Louise has worked in the legal sector for over 20 years and has recently undertaken her CILEX qualification. Louise is now a CILEX qualified Paralegal.

Louise provides support among a variety of departments and has a particular interest in the areas of Probate and Family Law.

Ellie qualified from the University of Aberystwyth with a First-Class Honours Degree in Law in 2024. Ellie joined the firm soon after and now provides support to the Conveyancing Department and the Wills and Probate Department.

Tom is due to qualify from Bangor University in the summer of 2025 where he is predicted to qualify with a First-Class Honours Degree in Law. Tom joined the firm in April 2025 having undertaken some work experience with the firm last year.

Tom has a particular interest in Conveyancing, and he hopes to qualify as a Solicitor in this area.
